Florida Judge Rules Obamacare Mandate Unconstitutional

On Monday Jan. 31, a Federal Judge in Florida ruled the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, unconstitutional. U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson ruled that the mandate to purchase insurance is unconstitutional, and since that part of the Act is not severable from the rest of the legislation, the entire law was ruled as unconstitutional. In December a US District Judge in Virginia ruled the mandate unconstitutional but not the entire Act.

Beginning at 12 noon on Wed. Dec. 22, 2010 the Washington Farm Bureau office will be closed to allow staff time to visit with their families during Christmas and New Years.
