Ag Appreciation Day at the Capitol Start: 7:00 am End: 7:30 pm The Washington Farm Bureau Agricultural Promotion and Education Committee and the WFB Women's Leadership Committee are sponsoring an "Ag Appreciation Day" at the Capitol on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008. The event features a continental breakfast from 7 - 10 a.m. on the third floor of the Legislative Building for all legislators and staff, state office holders and staff, agency directors and staff, and other Capitol personnel. Fact: True. The EPA found that homeowners applied chemical pesticides at a rate eight times higher (per acre), and they applied chemical fertilizers at a rate three times higher (per acre) than did farmers.
